Jesus said “…I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” – Matthew 5:35

PURPOSE: To reach out to the people in our community who need a free, safe place to learn English, get help in their quest for citizenship, if they desire, and expose them to the Gospel and the love of Christ in our efforts.

WHO DOES IT REACH: Our goal is to reach those that need help in learning English or need to improve their English proficiency.  Also, assistance is provided to those that are preparing for the citizenship interview.

WHAT IS DONE: Be incarnational to those in our community that need assistance with the English language or citizenship interview, which is a very popular draw for many in our community.  Many in our community are charged exorbitant fees just to help them fill out their N-400 Application for naturalization. Also, we want to take every opportunity, where it is presented, to expose the students to the gospel of Jesus Christ and witness to them.

WHO IS NEEDED: Experienced teachers, teachers “in training”, class assistants, and people that can help with hospitality, administration and communications.

WHERE/WHEN: Wednesday from 7pm – 8:30pm (ESL) and 8:45pm-10pm (Citizenship) at Mitchell Road’s Main Church Building.

OTHER: Free or charge service.  The only cost is $10 for a student workbook in ESL and child care is available during ESL.
